JUDDU n.g.o - Assistance to the education of Senegalese children

J
UDDU signifies birth in Wolof, one of the Senegalese languages, the birth of a connection, a link.

It has been twenty years since four young adults decided to awaken the conscience and create a connection between Belgians and Senegalese. Since 1989, the association JUDDU has opted intelligent and efficient support to:

  • Give children and motivated applicants from disadvantaged families the chance to open their minds to the world.
  • Give these children the means to acquire the equipment of reading and writing but also good training. In short, give them the tools to become active and positive actors.

Actors in their families, actors in their future work, actors in the society of the 21st century. Much has changed over the past twenty years, but JUDDU has remained a project with a human face, a large family in a way. And administrators have kept this constant concern for information and full transparency, when it comes to financial matters.

Through a sponsorship system, the association now funds the education and monitoring of 101 disadvantaged children from Pikine (a suburb of Dakar).

Sponsors are obviously kept regularly informed of their sponsor child’s development (work portfolios, grades, evaluations of teachers and facilitators…)
